Moncolombetto is a spectacular single vineyard perching on a hilltop in the town of Diano d’Alba at a height of 500 meters above sea level. The open and sunny exposure, the steepness of the dry calcareous terrain as well as rigorous hand selection are some of the elements that account for this wine’s unique characteristics: its striking purple color, its complex flowery bouquet and its rich dry fruity taste with a distinct note of almond. It’s the ideal complement with pasta, fresh cheeses or light main courses. It should be consumed young ( 2-3 years).
