Barolo CastellettoThe Castelletto single vineyard takes its name from the sub-zone in which it is located in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. It is comprised of almost five hectares of modern vineyards which were completely replanted by Gigi Rosso in 1981. Its rational vineyard system and its optimal South/ South-Eastern exposure allow the grapes in each vintage to achieve premium ripeness. This Barolo combines full body and distinct tannins with notes of leather and chocolate. The barrel aging imparts oakey accents which give the wine a modern style.
