Barbaresco

Barbaresco
Vigneto Viglino

The grapes are produced in the small "Viglino Vineyard" in the Giacosa sub-zone of Treiso d’Alba, one of the three towns that form the tiny area of Barbaresco production. The wine is aged for two years in Slavonian oak casks and it rivals Barolo for its elegance and refinement. A traditional style Barbaresco, it combines the astringent dryness of the Nebbiolo variety with the softness of its fruit and a delicate etherial bouquet. Its taste is characterized by ripe fruit with distinct scents of dried roses and herbs. It is full bodied and rich yet delicate and velvety. It has potential for long aging.
